Qualification

In order to compete at certain International and World Championship WNSO events,
competitors must qualify with their placing at other events.

Below are the qualification requirements for each event type in 2010 / 2011.WNSO Event Types:

WNSO/FAME Camp
Instructional Event

Qualification Requirements:
There are no qualification requirements for a WNSO/FAME Camp Event

Elite Qualifier
Qualification Requirements:
Any current WNSO Novice or Open Level competitor may compete in an Elite Qualifier Event*

World Championships Qualifier
Qualification Requirements:
Any current WNSO Elite Level competitor may compete in a World Championships Qualifier*

WNSO Pro Event
Qualification Requirements:
Any current WNSO Pro Level competitor may compete in a WNSO Pro Event
( Pros must qualify for the Pro World Championships beginning in 2012 )

National / International Championships
Qualification Requirements:
Any current WNSO Elite Level competitor may compete in a National or International
Championships ( Elite competitors must qualify for National and International Championships beginning in 2012 )

WNSO World Championships
Qualification Requirements:

Novice and Open Level Competitors
There are no qualification requirements for Novice and Open Level competitors to compete
in the Elite Qualifier Events at the WNSO World Championships

Elite Level Competitors

Elite Level competitors must have done one of the following to qualify for the Pro Qualifier
categories at the 2010 WNSO World Championships:

1. First earned Elite status within the same calendar year as the WNSO World Championships

2. Placed in the Top 3 at an Advanced or Elite level competition within the current year,
or previous 2 years.

Elite Level competitors who have not met either of the criteria above, may compete in the
World Championships Qualifier held on Friday at the World Championships in order to attempt
to qualify for the Pro Qualifier Events on Saturday.

The top 3 Elite level competitors from each category at the World Championships Qualifier Event
on Friday will qualify to compete in the Pro Qualifier on Saturday.

Pro Level Competitors

In 2010 and 2011 all current WNSO Pro Level competitors may to compete in the
WNSO Pro World Championships.

Beginning in 2012 Pro level competitors will have to qualify to
compete in the Pro World Championships.
