Newcomer to the FAME Stage is Melinda Meyer who is actually featured in the current issue of Oxygen Magazine in the 'Future of Fitness' section.
This girl is 'hungry' and plans to get her own cover very soon! Committed to being physically active and mindful to eat only healthy foods, Melissa has found this to not only shape her physical appearance but to also be extremely mentally rewarding as well! Great news for fans of FAME Pro Athlete and FAME Trainer, Andre Rzazewski!
Now you can learn from him and see him even more beyond the competition stage. Andre was just recruited to write articles for Status Magazine all about weight training... Who better to learn from than the very best! (Andre is also available for competition training). Congratulations, Andre!!
Junior Bodybuilder winner, Spencer Piechocki is in the newspaper.
You can read all about this 17 year old and the secrets to his success which include 5AM wakeups, strict attention to diet, joining a team of Bodybuilders in training and practicing his poses to execute them with ease. "Posing is as much artistic as it is about the muscles" says his trainer, Dave Avery which helps account for the cheers and applause erupting from the audience during routine. Even Spencer's mom, once a skeptic is now his biggest fan "I can't say enough good things about the sport. It's not just about the muscle. It's about the whole person." FAME Bikini Pro Audrey Kaipio is now a Sponsored Athlete.
Its been an exciting year for FAME Bikini Pro and Miss Fame UK 2007 Audrey Kaipio. She co-hosted the FAME European Championships with FAME Pro Rob Riches and shared a spot with him on the FAME UK flyers; she acted as the Head Judge; held the UK's first FAME Camp; was featured on a magazine cover (on the stands and now) and became a newly a Sponsored Athlete by Solgar Vitamins. 'I am thrilled to be attached to a company with such high quality products', said Audrey. 'I have always used many of their products such as Whey Protein Powder and am now adding their BCAA's, Green Tea and Omega Oil to get me ready for more photo shoots and competition'. Audrey will be holding more FAME UK Camps in the coming year and will be returning with Rob Riches next year to host the biggest FAME European Championships ever. A blast from the past - this commercial was aired extensively in 2006/07 all over the world. It is considered one of their greatest commercials ever produced. The principal Fitness Model featured on the Oxygen Bike is FAME Pro Obi Obadike who beat out over 100 athletes for this role. Want to see Obi live in person?

The Big Screen and... Shannon Leroux!!
FAME PRo Figure and Fitness Model Shannon Leroux has been added to the cast of the upcoming feature film “Working Out” staring Keith Collins, Randy Jones (the Cowboy from the Village People) and David Wenzel. Hayden Christensen may also soon be added to the cast. The movie is a comed that deals with four friends who have been inseparable since grammar school and how their bond unites them despite their very different lifestyles. It will have women disgusted by what men really think and have men shocked at what women really want. Shannon will be shooting in NYC though out the summer and fall. Congratulations!!

Pos Drug Tests - What's Going On? Seems we're catching people at just about every show.
Come on!! Learn your lesson! The FAME Stage is for NATURAL athletes only; for those who respect their body and avoid substances that are not even permitted to be sold! We want our athletes to be Body-Proud, to accomplish their goals in a way that is healthy that encourages personal growth and positive effects for their physique, thoughts and energy. Please respect the organization and our rules. If you are natural, you are welcome to compete... If not, there are other shows out there. Respect our stage and your fellow FAMErs... That's all we ask. (Once the athletes are notified more details will be posted)
We talked about Drugs, now let's talk about Alcohol...
There is no drinking backstage or at the events. Our events typically do not have a liquor license. For this reason, you are not allowed to bring alcoholic beverages into the venue. You could be fined (we're talking thousands of dollars)... Please be aware of this. The ironic thing is that we had just made this announcement (and added it into the Athlete Waiver form - meaning you all sign on it) and for the first time ever we had someone on stage who was notably drunk!! We know it wasn't intentional but that's another great reason why it does not pay to imbibe prior to getting on stage... This individual had to be escorted off and forfeited any placings she may have received.

FAME World Championships - News
New year... New Division... Swimsuit Model Search.... For Guys!! That's right, guys. It's not only the gals who get the benefit of this additional category. Now you too can hit the stage as a Swimsuit Model. This category is ideal for those guys who, well, look great in a swimsuit! You should be lean, hot and have some 'I know I look good' in your personality. Great for Fitness Models if you relax even more on stage - no flexing, people!! This is a General Category and is open to newcomers - no you do not need to qualify in advance - as well as seasoned competitors at the FAME World Championships this June in Toronto - and will be a part of the Friday evening show. Register now.
Couple Changes:
* FAME Idol is coming to Toronto prior to NYC... Stay tuned for more shows to be added!
* Fitness will be held on Sunday June 15 at the FAME World Championships rather than Friday as originally planned. If you need to swap your tickets please contact Shannon Lucier ASAP.
To Qualify or not to Qualify... Who can Compete at the Worlds?
Well, to be specific, the FAME World Championships are open to anyone. That's right. Even if you have not qualified you can compete... but only in select categories! The following categories are open to first time competitors, as well as those who have competed before: Swimsuit Model Search // Muscle Model Search // Fittest Duo // Routines Only // Junior, Master & Senior - Bodybuilding, Figure & Fitness Model Search. So if you had competed in the past but did not qualify for your category, you should still come on out to Toronto to be a part of the excitement. Your show takes place on Friday June 13, which means you have the rest of the weekend to watch the show, listen to the interviews, partake in the seminars and meet the athletes and cover models you admire and respect! Register now.
Aside from those Categories, all other categories require that you have some competition experience and that you have worked your way up the ranks as an Advanced Status (Level 3) athlete.
So anyone who is competing in Fitness // Figure // Bodybuilding // Fitness Model Search must have already been granted status by placing in the top 5 in your division (unless there are 10 or more athletes when one more person advances for each additional person in the division - eg. if there are 11 people, the top 6 advance OR if there are 12 people, the top 7 advance). See you at the FAME Worlds!
Haven't qualified yet? Well you still can! Join us at any of the 2008 Season 1 FAME World Tour events that are still taking place prior to the Worlds. Check the schedule here. Can't make it? Well, your last chance is FAME Idol which takes place in Toronto on June 10 just prior to the Worlds. This is a great opportunity for athletes who have competed elsewhere to be eligible to compete at the biggest event of season 1, the FAME World Championships. Plus perfect for those who have not yet qualified but feel that they would be competitive at Level 3/4 or 5 (Adanced/Elite or Pro). Sign up today!

If you're competing at the FAME World Championships, you must be registered to be eligible for this great opportunity. Just send an email to the Editor-in-Chief of FAME Magazine with your name, 1 liner about you, where you're from, your trainer, your contest categories and a high resolution image. Prior to the show this will serve as a means for FAME to help plug you to media networks nationwide, magazines, photographers, casting directors and even your potential sponsors. During the show it will allow the audience and your fans get to know you even better and build up your fan base that much more. Following the event, it will be one great reminder and memory of the FAME World Championships and the new friends you make. Thanks a lot!! The deadline for this promotion is Sunday May 25. FAME World Championships Pro Showdown - NEWS:
Friday morning marks the true start of the FAME World Championship weekend with a Media Launch for all Pro Athletes! The Live Web TV Broadcast also begins at that time and is available for fans all over the globe. Now you can 'meet' your FAME heros, magazine cover models plus hot and talented athletes and models of all ages. You can be scout for the new star of tomorrow!
Competitions take place all weekend long beginning with the Swimsuit Model Search, Muscle Model Search, and Fittest Duos on Friday evening. Saturday is the big Pro Show day with the judging portion taking place in the morning and the Finals/Entertainment show in the evening. During the day fans will also be treated to the Masters Pro Competition for older athletes and seniors - which is always inspiring to watch. The excitement continues on Sunday with the Advance/Elite show featuring Bodybuilders, Figure Competitors, FItness Athletes, Best Routines and Fitness Models. For those who have the Live Web TV Broadcast, you will be able to catch all this excitement all weekend long along with exclusive interviews and ongoing commentaries.
